How you can pay an invoice

Updated: 07 November 20261 views

Every charge here arrives as an invoice, whether it is a new order, a renewal or an upgrade. Nothing is taken from you without one.

What you can pay with

  • A card, through Stripe. The card details go to Stripe and never reach us. This is what the pay button on an invoice opens.
  • Account credit, if your account holds any.

Prices are in US dollars. There are no setup fees on any plan we sell.

Paying one

Open Invoices in your client area and click the unpaid one, or follow the link in the invoice e-mail. The pay button takes you to Stripe, and the invoice is marked paid the moment the payment is confirmed. Services ordered on it are set up automatically from there: nobody has to approve anything and you do not need to tell us the payment went through.

When credit covers part of it

If your account holds credit in the same currency as the invoice, it is applied first and automatically. When it covers the whole amount the invoice is settled outright. When it covers part, the remainder is what the card is asked for, so you pay the difference rather than the full amount.

Credit in a different currency is not applied, because converting it would mean inventing a rate.

Saved cards

Your client area has a Payment methods screen where a card used once can be kept for the next invoice, and one of them marked as the default. A card you no longer want there can be removed from the same screen.

What does not happen

We do not charge a saved card without an invoice. We do not add a fee for paying by card. And we never ask you for a card number, a security code or a password in a ticket or by e-mail: if a message appears to come from us and asks for any of those, it did not.

If a payment fails

The invoice stays unpaid and nothing is taken. The usual causes are a bank refusing an international payment, a card that has expired, or a verification step that was closed before it finished. Try again, or try a different card. If it keeps failing, open a ticket in the Billing department with the invoice number and what the card issuer told you, and leave the card number out of it.
